We’re now hiring for a Front-End Developer Internship position. If you’re excited
to be part of a growing team, Adaptful LLC is a perfect place to get started. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for implementing visual elements within a web application. You will combine the art of design with the science of programming. You will be responsible for the translation of UI/UX design wireframes to actual code. An ideal candidate will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in web design or a related field. Additional proficiency with programming languages and the ability to work independently are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features and UI/UX designs
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting it to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Use a variety of programming languages to create user-friendly web pages
  • Maintain and improve the company website
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as back-end
  • developers and web designers
  • Build high-quality mockups and design different prototypes
  • Provide high-quality graphics and visual elements
  • Design mobile-based features
  • Get feedback from users and customers
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Proficient understanding of Git, Github, and VS Code
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
  • Basic knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
  • Basic understanding of graphics software such as Adobe Suite, GIMP, Photoshop etc.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • 1 year of experience as a Front-end Developer, including experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • 1 year of experience with Python
  • 1 year of experience with front-end frameworks, particularly Django and React
  • Experience with UI/UX tools such as Adobe XD or Figma
  • Knowledge of SEO principles
  • Working toward BA in Computer Science or similar relevant field
  • Basic knowledge of Linux or other Unix operating systems
