Position: Marketing Director / Operational Marketing
Reports to: President
Direct Reports: none

This marketing role works cross-functionally across all teams within the company including sales, manufacturing, supply chain and customer service. The person filling this role will need to be agile with the ability to manage the workflow of daily tasks and long-range projects.

Responsibilities:

  • General marketing
    • Develop yearly marketing, product and branding plans.
    • Manage team of outsourced agencies: Creative/Graphics, e-commerce and website
    • Develop and manage marketing budget
    • Develop new product and line extensions
    • Work with graphics team on packaging, sales materials and product design for company branded and private label brands
  • Corporate and crisis communication
  • Product development and Product Management
  • Develop new skus and line extensions
  • Work on private label skus – serving as the project manager
  • Costing and margin analysis
    • Managing regulatory and risk management on all packaging including working with 3rd party vendors for testing
  • Digital
    • Maintain company website
    • Develop content for all ecommerce accounts
    • Monitor Social media accounts
  • Sales support:
    • Develop sales materials
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • Trade and trade show materials
    • Proof customer/partner catalog pages
  • Special account projects – in-store displays and promotions
    • Help with new item setup with all accounts
  • Operations and supply chain:
    • Work with purchasing to find new vendors
    • Liaison with QC /manufacturing with specific vendors on QC, pricing, ship dates etc.
    • Manage timelines and milestones for product launches

Qualifications:

  • Although this is a hybrid role, candidates must live within commuting distance from the Central NJ office to be considered.
  • 4 + years of Marketing experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or similar industry 
  • Demonstrated experience leading agencies
  • Experience with social media
  • Experience with product management and project management 
  • Experience with content development
  • Experience as Brand Manager
  • Experience managing budgets 
  • Solid MS Office skills – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Demonstrated project and product management expertise
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
