Next Steps
- Background review/conversation with Nathan Hajder
- Complete an assessment
- We use a 3rd party testing partner, IKM, to schedule the assessment to be completed at your convenience. The assessment is timed at 75 minutes and you get one try.
- Very similar to Programmer Aptitude Tests that you can find for free online. Basically, an assessment on how you think rather than your technical abilities.
- Provide updated resume in Word document form with 2 managerial and 2 peer references sent separately
- These should be people you’ve worked/interacted with in the last 2 years
- 1st Round interview with Nathan Hajder
- Final round interview with a TEKsystems Manager
The IKM Assessment contains 50 questions and should take 60-75 minutes to complete. This will have to be completed all in one sitting remotely on your own (unsupervised). It is not technical from a programming standpoint, but it is designed to be challenging in a variety of other ways. I’d recommend having a pencil and paper ready, can be helpful when trying to work through the problems. This assessment is required to get into this Program.
Following is a description of each sub-topic on the test:
- Emphasizing Details measures focus and awareness through questions that require quick responses. This includes image and text comparison.
- Sequencing and Patterns assesses ability to recognize patterns and properly identify sequences. This includes measuring logical reasoning with number series.
- Numerical Reasoning measures ability to utilize inductive and deductive reasoning in resolving numerical problems.
- Cognitive Processing evaluates the ability to process complex directions and to logically process information.
- Analytical Reasoning measures ability to analyze complex processes and logically resolve problems.
