Description:
Aquila is a digital innovation company leading in providing subsea BOP reliability services. We are looking for a technical support engineer to join our growing engineering team! The role will involve supporting the rigs and the Aquila Real-Time Operation Center in the sustaining and technical troubleshooting of the different software solutions offered by the company.
Our main team is based in Houston, TX, with a preference for Texas applicants, but we are open to partially remote members as well.
Responsibilities:
- Support operations by answering technical questions on software functionality
- Check system data connectivity and provide guidance on the path forward to solve any issue
- Support fixing critical hardware or software issue
- Work closely with the existing development and Data Science team on system improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 0-2 year of experience, Oil &Gas is a plus
- Solid knowledge of SQL and Python
- Familiarity with Matlab is preferred
This position may involve support during after hours to support the ongoing operations.
